The Château de Raymontpierre located in Vermes Canton Jura is being renovated to preserve its historic fabric. Fourteen guest rooms for conference guests and private travellers will be created to promote sustainable tourism development. Moonwood from the Raimeux area and limestone from the surrounding quarries will be used for the interior. A new stable is being built for the farm, run by the Wenger family. The family passionately keeps a herd of Simmental cows in suckler cow husbandry for the breeding and production of Natura-Beef, for which the Bio-Suisse guidelines are applied. The buildings on the site are connected to a private sewage treatment plant, and a central woodchip heating system is being built. Drinking water comes from a private spring two kilometres away in the foothills of the Raimeux Mountains.
Opening in 2024 – stay tuned
