Steffi Hidber devotes herself to her passion for skin care, make-up and haircare on www.heypretty.ch - and shares further "insider tips" from home and abroad. Her perfect lipstick color is the Velvet Mat Lipcolor by NARS in "Tokyo Girl," and her current favorite fragrance "Pink Molecule" by Zarkoperfume.

We, Zurich residents, have known for a long time that Zurich is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. How fitting that our pretty city also has so many beauty hotspots! As a lifestyle journalist and beauty blogger, I regularly travel abroad to discover exciting people and hip brands... but when I'm at home and strolling through the old town, I always notice the great range of beauty salons, boutiques and perfumeries to be found in Zurich.

Some of them are very easy to find, because they are in a prominent location on Bahnhofstrasse: Jelmoli, Globus, but also the Parfumerie Osswald all have spacious and lovingly edited beauty departments and perfectly trained staff... but for me it's rather the little pearls, some of which are hidden in small side streets of the old town and the lower village, that invite you to linger and enjoy - and are bursting with personality.

Boutique Kiehl's

You won't believe it, but this little "pharmacy" on Rennweg was the first Kiehl's store in our country and is still the Swiss flagship of the traditional New York brand today. Here you'll find straight-line, highly effective skin and hair care products for every need, expert advice and psssst... great travel sizes as free samples!

Hey Pretty favorite product: Crème de Corps Body Moisturizer

Here are five of my personal favourites:

Suskind

Already as a child Mayumi Matthäus collected perfume samples, later as a flight attendant she souped up the most beautiful niche fragrances from all over the world. In 2013 the Swiss Japanese fulfilled a big dream and opened a small, fine shop in Oberdorf for selected fragrances off the beaten track such as CB I Hate Perfume, Scent of Departure or Laboratorio Olfattivo. Bring plenty of time with you to sniff!

Hey Pretty favourite product: Heeley "Sel Marin" Eau de Parfum

Scheitergasse 10 - 8001 Zurich - store.sueskind.ch

The Nail Bar

For a long time "Walk-In" Nail Bars were hard to find in Switzerland... but one of the first providers of manicures and pedicures without registration was "The Nail Bar" - but only in French-speaking Switzerland. In 2016, the company finally dared to make the leap to Zurich and enriched the beauty offer in the old town! Friendly staff, professional services and a pretty shop open to the adjacent, fragrant LUSH branch make this small, fine nail boutique a highlight, even for last-minute customers.

Hey Pretty favoritetreatment: The "Princess & Queen" double manicure for mum and daughter

Münstergasse 23 - 8001 Zurich - thenailbar.ch

Inioma

There are countless hairdressing salons in Zurich's old town, but what Rebecca Nappo has created in a small inner courtyard somewhat away from the hustle and bustle of Niederdorf is extraordinary - and not just because of the pretty little timber-framed house in which "inioma - the space for hair and beauty" is located! Nappo and her small team are experts for perfect hair colours and type-appropriate cuts for women and men.

Hey Pretty Favorite Treatment: The wonderful slow head massage while washing your hair

Preyergasse 20 - 8001 Zurich - inioma.ch

Greenlane Store&Salon

"Organic Beauty" has finally freed itself from the health food corner: The newly opened shop and salon of Lara Schurter provides the proof. The young entrepreneur offers an exciting selection of high-end beauty brands with a 100% natural bonus - and also offers manicures and facials with her products.

Hey Pretty Favorite Product: Herbivore Botanicals Phoenix Facial Oil
